"Today's world is traveling in some strange direction. You see that the world is going toward destruction and violence. And the specialty of violence is to create hatred among people and to create fear. I am a believer in nonviolence and I say that no peace or tranquility will descend upon the people of the world until nonviolence is practiced, because nonviolence is love and it stirs courage in people."
- Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, "The Frontier Gandhi"

Celebrate the life of Badshah Khan, Muslim hero of nonviolence, and kickoff the Season for Nonviolence with this special presentation of real-life stories of peace and social change that aren't reported on the evening news. Join Center for Nonviolent Communication Certified Trainers Catherine Cadden and Jesse Wiens for inspirational stories and film footage from their recent experiences in applying Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Restorative Circles (RC) in Afghanistan with Afghan NGOs and children, in Australia with educators, in the U.S. within public high schools, and in the Alaskan and Canadian wilderness with teens, as well as within Catherine's own Nonviolence-based Temba elementary school. Catherine will also sign copies of her new book, Peaceable Revolution Through Education. Bring some friends and learn how anyone can "be the change" that they want to see.
